There is absolutely nothing God has no power over. Thus, He possesses power over everything. In Genesis 1:1, 3, 6, 9, 11, 14, or the Story of Creation, we know that God is the Maker of the universe. But, the Bible gives us a clearer picture of just how powerful God is. Let’s learn more about God’s divine attributes and its references in the Bible. Combining these in order, the words translate to “all-powerful, all-knowing, and “all-present” or “present everywhere”. Why? Because humans can’t have these characteristics! The prefix “Omni” means “all”. Meaning, one cannot describe a person as “omnipotent, omnipresent or omniscient”.

So, why are these three words chosen to represent God’s divine attributes? Among the many words in the dictionary, descriptions like these three words are only used for God.

There are so many adjectives available in the dictionary that can describe and represent something or someone. Why “Omnipotent,Omnipresent, and Omniscient”? But, there are three descriptions we can use to describe God’s nature – omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient. As an example, in Isaiah 40:12, a description is available saying that God can measure the entire skies with just the span of His Hand! Really, there is no measurement for God’s greatness. Simply put, He is too vast for any measurement to be described. Actually, humans have no exact idea just how big and great God is. His Almighty Presence branches to unlimited characteristics that show love, compassion, and undefeated power.
